A Morning of Teamwork and Going Green
It was an exciting morning at Yaya Village in Sululta as our colleagues rolled up their sleeves to plant trees and support our greener future.
As part of Haile Hotels and Resort Group’s commitment to sustainability and the government’s Green Legacy Initiative, our team worked together to add hundreds of seedlings to the landscape.
Everyone was eager to do their part for the environment.
In just a few short hours, different tree species found new homes across former bare lands. The goal is for the saplings to mature and restore the watershed, provide habitat for life, and sequester carbon from the atmosphere.
“This was a very rewarding project for our teams,” said our Managing Director, Mr. Gadisa Girma. “We’re proud to support reforestation efforts and do our small part to offset climate change.”
The tree planting builds on HHRG’s existing recycling and waste reduction programs at all destinations.
With initiatives like eliminating single-use plastics, the chain is committed to lowering its environmental footprint.
HHRG looks forward to continuing its green legacy across Ethiopia through future conservation initiatives.
Our environment is too important not to protect.
